Celebrate 03. CD's

Start your future right by celebrating 2012 in romance...

03. Another romantic idea is to make CD for your partner. Include all the years favorite love songs. Gather your favorite photo of the two of you and write a love poem. If you can't make one yourself, go to a print shop and have them print a cover for the CD that includes your picture on the front and the poem on the back.

Resolutions 05. Get Healthy

Improve your relationship in 2012...

05. Make a goal to get healthy together. Eat cleaner, shape up at the gym, or get your heart pumping with evening walks. Take 30 minutes or even an hour out of each day to focus on health. You will look better on the outside and feel better on the inside. This will help to strengthen your physical relationship and your mental relationship. It will affect you both in more ways then you can imagine. Oh and of course this will help to rev up your love life in the sack as well!!!

One more idea to come tomorrow! xox

Celebrating 02. Balloon Messages

Start your future right by celebrating 2012 in romance...

02. Set the mood with a message in a balloon. Write a love note expressing your heart's desire and roll the note up into a thin scroll so that it fits inside a balloon. Buy a bouquet of red roses with red balloons and open the neck of one of the balloons so you can slip your love note inside. Enjoy a romantic dinner together on New Year's Eve and see how long it takes for your partner to notice the note inside the balloon. If your budget allows, slip a new piece of jewelry inside the balloon as well. This is a creative way to deliver a romantic message to the person you love.

More ideas to come.

Resolutions 04. Read

Improve your relationship in 2012...

04. Resolve to read at least one book on how to strengthen your relationship.

Pot Luck Party

Winter Date:  Host a Pot Luck Party
Cost:  Free-However much you want to spend
Perks:  Enjoy the coziness of friends, watch the ball drop in the warmth of your home, and bring in the New Year anyway you want.

Why spend New Year's Eve paying insane prices and dealing with crowds of strangers when you can celebrate with your friends? Have your friends get in touch with their chef side by bringing a few fancy appetizers or dishes for a fancy meal.  Try a traditional party with hats, balloons, and noisemakers or something more creative like a costume party where everyone dresses as an interesting character from the past year.  Prepare entertainment with games, music, or watching times square.  Once the crowd has gone home celebrate the New Year by getting a little cozy with your spouse.  Ditch the party hats, steamers, and noise makers and have a celebration for two in bed.

If you have any winter date ideas please share them.  Winter lasts for quite a few months and I would love to have a new date idea to share each week so we don't get the winter love blues!!!  xox <3

Celebrate 01. Roses

Start your future right by celebrating 2012 in romance...

01. Spell Her Name With Rose PetalsReserve a room at your favorite resort for New Year's Eve. Prepare the room before you take your partner there. Spell her name on the bed with with rose petals, or write her a note using them. Don't just use the words "I love you"--this is too generic. Make it specific to her. Fill the room with romantic additions such as chocolate-covered strawberries and champagne.

14. Don't Pick It Up...

Bedroom Eyes

14.  Don't Pick It Up...

If you're making love and the phone rings, DO NOT pick it up. If you do pick it up, it tells your partner that the person on the phone (or at the door) is more important than the intimacy you are sharing.

Christmas Moments

I want to hear about your Christmas? Did you make time for your Santa Baby? Did you try a new Christmas tradition that only involved the two of you? Did you get exactly what you wanted? xox ♥

Packing Party

Who's taken down their Christmas tree??? A tradition I like to keep in my family is taking it down on New Years Eve. Sometimes I want to keep the tree just one day longer so we'll take the tree down on New Years. I like to have a packing party of sorts. Cookies, all the years top hits, and a little hot chocolate or apple cider while we pack up all the Christmas decorations. Do you have a packing party??? xox ♥

25 December 2011

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas! I hope that during the hustle and bustle of the day that you are able to spend a few moments of romance with your sweetie. Give them an extra hand squeeze under the table, wink at them across the room, or lightly touch them as you pass by. These are the little things that express in huge ways how much you love each other. Now go love on each other!!! xox ♥

24 December 2011

honey breakfast...

Do you make a Christmas breakfast? If you do, then make something special for your honey to let them know you took time to focus on them. Make heart shaped pancakes or serve his favorite syrup or make his favorite breakfast drink. Whether you go all out or you go simple your spouse will feel your love. xox ♥

PJ's & slippers...

A classic Christmas tradition is giving pajama sets.  We all love to get into pajamas on Christmas morning because they keep us warm and cozy.   Let's make this tradition a little more sexy.  On Christmas Eve secretly stuff each others stockings with romantic pajama sets.  After the kids have turned in for the night, it's your turn to have some fun, dig into your stockings and see what your Santa baby brought you.

Merry Christmas Eve.  xox <3

I love that after I spend day with you, I can still smell your perfume on my clothes. And I love that you are the last person I want to talk to before I go to sleep at night. And it’s not because I’m lonely, and it’s not because it’s New Year’s Eve. I came here tonight because when you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible.

12. Naughty Stockings...

12.  Naughty Stockings...

Bring a little naughtiness into your Christmas traditions by filling each others stockings with naughty things, without the other one seeing. Sometimes it's better being on the naughty list then on the nice list when it comes to romance. You can fill it with lingerie, naughty coupons, lubricant, candles, body paints, restraints...the list is endless. Oh and of course your spouse would love a naughty gift from Tickled in Love. Homemade gifts are a wonderful Christmas tradition, but when couples celebrate this tradition, they should try to make it more creative. making no. 1 what matters most...

What can you do for your marriage in 2012?

01. Try making a New Year’s resolution to improve your relationship. Christmas fast approaching and the New Year's right around the corner it's time to start thinking about New Year's resolutions. Are you planning on getting in shape, eating healthier, or excelling at work? How many of you have decided to be a better husband or wife? Shouldn't the person that matters the most be on the top of our goal list? This year pick a goal that focuses on your spouse and make that the number 1. on your goal list.

13 December 2011

Be You...

Be genuine in your relationship. Don't pretend to only like the shows he watches, don't pretend to love all of her friends, don't pretend to enjoy all of his hobbies, and don't pretend to love everyone in his family. If you don't enjoy something say it. If you love something say it. Your spouse loves you for who you are not something you're pretending to be. xoxo

01. The One Who Loves You the Most

I'm adding a new little segment to all my little segments.  I love music.  I love finding undiscovered artists.  I love falling in love again with my old tunes.  I love groovin to a sultry sound.  So I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorites unknowns and knowns with you.

Fall In Love Mix

01.  The One Who Loves You The Most by Brett Dennen

"When the sky is falling from above and the wind is ranging from the cost and you want someone who truly loves you...I will be the one who truly loves you the most...Now the women with their stolen graces who don't invite you to play host, to their daughter's with fake faces, I will be the one who loves you the most.  When all the debutants desert you, and the doorways are all closed, and all the harlequins that have hurt you, I will be the one who loves you the most."

Such a sweet song...This is a song for all the women who find themselves in situations where they need their man to be the one who loves them the most.

19. The 40-Year-Old-Virgin

I’m very discreet but… I will haunt your dreams.

Read one of your favorite Christmas tales together.  This will help you remember what Christmas is all about the whole month long.  If you have a book you truly love then make it a tradition and read it every year the holidays start.

Here are a few of my suggestions, I would love to hear some of your favorites too!!!

The Christmas Carol
How the Grinch Stole Christmas
The Polar Express
The Mansion
The Christmas Sweater
The Night Before Christmas
Letters from Father Christmas

Little Women

Make reading time a little more fun by snuggling up under a blanket on the couch, lighting the fire place, and sipping a warm drink.  Enjoy the adventure.

09. Is Chocolate More Important Than Sex???

Bedroom Eyes

09.  Is Chocolate More Important Than Sex???

Researchers asked college-aged men and women to fill out a questionnaire detailing their attitudes toward sex, and then they were given a device to help them tally how often they thought about sex during the day. Men were found to think about sex around 19 times a day, while women thought about sex around 10 times a day. Hence, while men did spend slightly more time engaging in sexual thoughts, women were not far behind.

These findings have much to teach us about our current sexual landscape. While young men still lead the pack when it comes to sexual thoughts, it is interesting to see young women gaining on them. Clearly, sexuality and sexual desires are not limited only to the male of the species, and women have just as many fantasies and sexual impulses as men do.

And, while many women might have felt embarrassed to give into sexual thoughts, most were comfortable confessing their thoughts about food. While women thought about sex only 10 times a day on average, they thought about food 15 times a day. Maybe instead of starting the latest fad diet on New Year’s Day, women can simply revamp their frame of mind. For example, instead of thinking about a slice of chocolate cake when you are bored or frustrated, why not think of an exciting sexual fantasy to brighten up the day?

By generating more sexual thoughts throughout the day and creating a mental landscape that celebrates and welcomes sex, you will be much more likely to enjoy sex with your partner and to initiate sexual contact in an organic and spontaneous way. That’s way better than any diet!

Mistletoe

You can never have too much Mistletoe: This is a wonderful Christmas tradition for couples that goes back several decades, but why not make this Christmas tradition more creative? A very creative spin for this Christmas tradition is for couples to hang mistletoe in every door way of their home. This increases the chance that the couple will have a romantic Christmas kiss.

keeping us together

If you have seen the new Hallmark commercial then you have heard this cute quote...

"Traditions are not for keeping...They are for keeping us together."

I love this.  It's so true.  Traditions bring us closer.  If it works for cultures, communities, and the whole family, then wouldn't it work for you as a couple.  Take time for the two of you and create a tradition that will bring you closer to each other.  If you have any traditions that you share with your spouse please share it with us.  Hopefully you can help spark a new tradition for one of us.

love notes

Pick a night to spend together writing each other a love note. Roll your note up and tie with a ribbon. Hide your note somewhere on the tree for your spouse to find on Christmas morning. Promise each other that there is no peeking allowed. This is a great idea for a Christmas tradition that you will look forward to each year! xoxo

Moments to Treasure

The Holiday season is all about love, family, and charity. These little moments spent loving others create big moments in our memories. Are you and your spouse spending quality one on one time together in order to create huge moments to treasure? It is important that you create traditions that remind you both of your love for each other.

As you know we have been playing around with tradition ideas and I have a few more up my sleeve but I would really love to hear all of your ideas too.
