The Inked Leaf Designs

 Glitter In The Air

With spring and summer in the air it reminds me of weddings, anniversaries, and all celebrations that warm the heart. There's this adorable designer that I've had my eye on for quite some time now. Her name is Sameeha and her little shop is called The Inked Leaf. She creates beautiful pieces all about love and I can't get enough of her. Hurry on over real quick and take a peek around her site, you'll fall in love, I promise! Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere, I'll be right here when you get back.

Welcome back, I told you I'd be around.  Aren't her designs beautiful?! She has created quite a few darling printables for me, she is fun to work with, she is quick as can be, and she always creates magic with my visions! You won't go wrong with this girl!

Here are a few of my favorite designs...

How cute is this, take a photo of your casa of love and transform it into a digital creation.  So much fun and I love the light pole with your names on it!

Remember your first dance? You better say YES! I love this print because it captures the lyrics of "your song". The two of you will treasure this beautiful print forever!

How adorable is this??? Life is a journey and love is what makes the journey worthwhile, isn't that the truth?! Are you two into traveling or maybe you've moved way too many times? If so, this is perfect for you! I'm loving all the stamps, it reminds me of a passport displayed on your wall.  One day when we've traveled to some fun places, I am totally getting this!

Sameeha is just fabulous, I really love this girl. If you have a celebration coming up in the near future or distant future contact The Inked Leaf, you will be impressed with Sameeha's stylish work and her cute personality!

I'm Secretly Stalking TFB!!!

Glitter In The Air

I have been secretly stalking
My new favorite romance gift out there...
THE FANTASY BOX

I have to tell you a little secret about someone I've been stalking for a while now...There name is The Fantasy Box!!! I'm in love with their logo, Give Date Night A Spanking, along with quite a few other things!

Have you checked them out??? They deliver a CLASSY, ROMANTIC, and unbelievably SEXY box right to your door every month. They help you keep that fire alive and help you fulfill a few fantasies!!   Seriously they are adorable. Go check them out!!!

I patiently awaited for my box in the mail and can I just say the wait was worth it!!!  My hubby was even impressed, that's not always easy to do.  Sadly we haven't had a chance to use it yet, it's just sitting by its lonesome on my bedroom dresser, just as sexy as can be.  It's kinda sitting there teasing or mocking us, I can't quite decide yet! My hubby has been gone 3 days straight, with work, and I have been sick, so diving in has been out of the question!  I will be doing a review very soon, I promise!  My hubby and I need to PLAY with it a little or a lot (*wink, wink) first!

Nail You

 Glitter In The Air

I Want To Nail You

Valentines is around the corner and there are so many cute ideas out there.  One that I just happened to stumble upon on Pinterest and fall in love with is that naughty card by Jared Andrew Schorr

I couldn't find a tutorial or free printable with this so you'll just have to make your own.  Get a little crafty and you can come up with a few ideas.  Write this little note with a gift of a toolbelt, nails, a hammer, or toolkit.  I'm sure you can come up with a few other gifts too!   Whatever gift you choose, or just the note alone, your hubby is going to love this!!!

Action Advent Calendar

Glitter In The Air

I came across this cute Action Advent Calendar and had to share this idea with you.

This idea comes from Let's Lasso The Moon.  The idea is to start an advent calendar that has an action connected to it.  The idea is for the whole family but of course you can make it for just the two of you.  Download the blank printables and add activities for just the two of you.  Such as watching your favorite Christmas movie, making treats together to secretly deliver to a needy family, or a night of passion.  Get creative and you'll come up with some fantastic ideas!!!

Admission Ticket

Glitter In The Air

For some reason I love the shape and design of tickets.  Maybe it has to do with loving them as a little girl cause they meant we were going to the circus, cashing them in for a toy, or to a special event.  Luckily, tickets are popular right now and you can recreate them in many different ways.

I've found tickets that you can customize at Romantic Craft When personalizing the ticket you can add a romantic place, or date idea, or make it look like a raffle ticket, or use it as a love coupon to surprise your loved one.   Use your creativity and you can make it anything you like.

03. Little Monster

I have a cute little addition to add to my Glitter In The Air segment.

Glitter In The Air

03.  Little Monster

I found this cute little monster family activity from Little Family Fun. Isn't this monster adorable??? You make a monster, write a story, and send him off in the mail, love it! If you have kids that would love this activity than do it. If you're looking for grown up fun than here is my twist...Make a little monster that represents wicked and wild deeds. Write a little wicked and wild story to go along with your monster and place it in a kinda hidden spot for your spouse to find. Play tag with this monster all month long. This little monster might just stick around all year through. You could make this a fun Halloween couples tradition.

02. Shower Love Notes

I often find myself amazed by all the wonderful crafts, ideas, and thoughts that others share. Some people have talents that I envy or come up with ideas that I wish I had shared first. So this is my way of introducing you to my favorites with a newish little segment celebrating "Glitter In The Air".

Glitter In The Air

Remember those days when you would draw or write on the walls with things you weren't supposed to??? As I get older I find that companies are making more and more things I wish was around when I was kid! Who says that just because it's made for kids adults can't have fun using it??? Go out and grab some bath tub paints or crayons and scribble love notes, naughty notes, and encouraging notes all over your bath. Don't forget to leave a little note reminding them that it's their turn to leave you notes next. Maybe the next time you shower together you can use those paints on each other instead of the walls, think of the fun that would be!!!Today I'm stealing this idea from How Does She. This particular post is written by Shelley. She is one of three editors that help run this site. They seriously have cute stuff popping up on pinterest all the time. Which is how I came across this post. Take a peek at their site and see if you fall in love with these girls just as much as I have...

DIY Romantic Silk Flower

Once a month, I -Alicia, creator of Vintage Spice goodies -get to bring you quick DIY romantic crafts! This month we'll be making a silk flower that you can add to your hair, your clothes, your sheer apron, or anything you desire.

They're so beautiful and versatile. The sky is the limit on what you can do with them! I hot glued a magnet to one and used it as a fridge magnet!

To make it, you're going to need:
A small amount of silk fabric (polyester will work too!)
A small amount of tulle in a matching color
A lighter (or candle)
A Wide Mouth Mason Jar Lid -or another circle object to use as a stencil
Hot Glue Gun
Pencil
Scissors
*Optional: hair clip, magnet, safety pin... to attach your flower to when you're done

The first thing you're going to do is cut circles out of your silk fabric. For my stencil, I used a foam circle I have on hand in my craft supplies. A wide-mouth Mason jar lid would work equally as well.

Cut out four circles:

Set the silk circles aside. Take the tulle and cut out 6 squares that are just a little bigger than the silk circles. I made the mistake of making a white flower using a white background, so I hope you can get the general idea despite the fact that it isn't totally clear:

Set the tulle aside. Take the silk circles, one by one, and cut slits in the sides to begin forming the petals.

Clip the ends off of the petals to round them out:

Using a lighter (or candle) singe the ends of the petals. They will probably catch on fire, so watch carefully!

You can clipped the burned edges off if you don't like the discoloration, but I actually love the look of it:

Next, take two squares of tulle and tie them together:

Use hot glue to glue the tulle to the burned flower:

Repeat the process two times.

Take your last silk circle, burn the edges and then clip the petals apart. Don't worry about neatness.

Glue them on the top layer in random places:

For the flower's center, you can do whatever you want! Glue in a blingy button or a rhinestone... anything you have lying around! I happened to have a strip of sparkly sheer fabric on hand:

I knotted and twisted it a little here and there until it looked like it could go in the middle of my flower, and I glued it on!

Clip your tulle down, being careful to try and make it look something like a flower, and you're done!

Hot glue a safety pin to the back and you've got the perfect accessory for jewelry, hats, scarves, hair, clothes... anything you want to add a little romantic touch to!

Enjoy making it your own!
